We Invite You To Call Fairlawn HOME!
Changing homes is never easy. Figuring out what care option is best for you or a loved one can be confusing and stressful. Fairlawn has been serving northwest Ohio for over 55 years and we understand the challenges. We are here to help you explore your options.
Independent Living
Fairlawn offers both life-lease and rental options on our independent living campus. There is no entry fee. Our continuous care community is organized so that you pay only for the services you need. Fairlawn has 153 homes and apartments on our campus. We also offer an additional 49 affordable housing apartments through a program sponsored by the USDA.
If you chose a home using the life lease agreement, it means you do not own the home, but you have access to the use of the home for as long as you are able to live independently. A life lease comes with refundable options where a portion of your lease is refunded when the home is re-leased to a new resident. This refundable portion allows residents to have funds available for their next level of care or to provide inheritance for beneficiaries. In addition to the cost of the initial life lease there is a monthly service and maintenance fee that covers everything from electricity, gas, Wi-Fi and cable to appliances and maintenance for your home.
If you choose a rental unit, your monthly rental cost includes the service and maintenance fee. Note: not all residences are available with a rental option.
Assisted Living
Short-Term Rehab, Long-Term Care and Memory Care
There are several ways that families pay for skilled nursing services. For residents that are in need of long-term care there is a daily rate that is charged in addition to fees for additional ancillary services and needed care supplies.
There are also other ways to cover the cost of care depending on if the resident has had a recent hospital stay and requires rehab services or a higher level of nursing care. Most residents in these cases use their Medicare or Medicare replacement plan to cover costs of a short-term stay. Fairlawn also accepts reimbursement from some insurance providers for short-term stays for rehabilitation and skilled nursing care. Our team can help guide you through these processes if needed.
For residents that are under long-term placement and run out of funds to pay for their stay, Medicaid assists with coverage costs associated with their stay. This requires an application and acceptance by the state of Ohio to qualify. Fairlawn also accepts reimbursement from some insurance providers. Our team can help guide you through these processes if needed.
